Earth Day Hike

Take a walk toward Lyman and Anna Eppes’ first Adirondack home on their land grant, part of Gerrit Smith’s "scheme of justice and benevolence". Learn the story of their life in the Adirondacks.

This hike on an old camp road will cross through Henry and Mildred Uihlein Foundation land onto NYS Wild Forest land.

• The route first descends then ascends about 250 feet over a mile before the turn-around point.
• The hike is about 2 miles round trip.
