Instructor: Collin Case
If you want to understand how small engines work, then this is the class for you. Come join Collin Case for a 90-minute workshop to understand core small engine systems and functions and to learn diagnostics and disassembly with minimal mess.
You will learn:
- Engine basics: identify major components on a static (dry) engine — cylinder, piston, crankshaft, camshaft, flywheel
- Carburetor, ignition coil, pull starter
- 4-stroke cycle (intake, compression, combustion, exhaust)
- 2-stroke vs 4-stroke (when and why you’d use them)
Hands-On Mechanical Systems & Diagnostics:
- Participants will work in small groups at disassembly stations with hand tools.
- Participants can bring their own cordless impact drill/driver if desired.
