Beginning Watercolor Classes

This course is for the beginning watercolor student. Each student will learn basic color theory along with drawing and painting techniques during two introductory classes. The focus is on working with a limited palette and on both wet and dry surfaces while exploring basic techniques.
Students will create a color wheel and a Still Life Fruit image during the first session, and a Floral image during the second session. All materials are included: watercolors, paper, printed references, and simple palettes will be provided. Students may bring their own brushes if they wish.
About the instructor: Rebecca Peters is a visual artist, art educator, and curator. Her work has been shown locally and at plein air painting events. She has taught art in public and private schools as well as continuing education classes. Rebecca has taught watercolor for 15 years and has provided art instruction for individuals with developmental disabilities. Her background includes drawing, painting, and printmaking.
This watercolor workshop is for beginner and intermediate students ages 14+.
