Learn to Fish at Collins Lake

Join Schenectady County, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), and the Schenectady County Conservation District for a fun and educational afternoon of fishing at Collins Lake in the Village of Scotia.
Bait a hook, cast a line, and enjoy a summer day by the water with family and friends. Experienced anglers will be on hand to teach the basics of fishing and share tips on responsible fishing practices and environmental stewardship.
- This free event is open to all ages and skill levels.
- Bring your own fishing pole or borrow one from the NYS DEC.
- Bait will be provided by the Department of Environmental Conservation.
