Celebrate Dolly

In honor of the legendary Smoky Mountain Songbird, the Mechanicville District Public Library is staying open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on September 25 for a special community celebration of Dolly Parton’s legacy, music, and philanthropy.

Get ready for glitz, glam and giving back:

• Dress Your Best: Channel your inner country royalty! Come dressed in your finest rhinestones, sequins, and fringe.
• Sweet Treats: Stop in throughout the day to enjoy a cup of classic Banana Pudding — Dolly’s absolute favorite dessert.
• Give the Gift of Reading: We will be collecting donations of brand-new Juvenile Picture Books to distribute to local children in our community.

Whether you are a lifelong fan of Jolene or want to support local young readers, tumble outta bed and stumble on down to the library. We can’t wait to celebrate Dolly with you!
