About the Book
My Mama Moves Different is a warm and uplifting story told through the eyes of a young girl who sees her mama as the very best—even if she rolls instead of walks. Although her mama moves differently, her joy, bravery, and heart shine through in every moment they share. She teaches her daughter that it's not how you move, but how you show up, that builds an unbreakable bond. With beautiful illustrations and gentle storytelling, this book lovingly celebrates different abilities, emotional connection, and the powerful love between parent and child.
About the Author
Meaghan Baxter lives in Upstate New York with her husband, Sean, and their two wonderful kids, Erin and Keegan. Inspired by her late mother, Michelle, who lived with multiple sclerosis, Meaghan wrote her debut picture book to honor the love, strength, and connection between parent and child.
