Originating in 16th century Wales, a love spoon is a carved wooden spoon decorated with symbols of love, traditionally given as a token of affection.

In this workshop, students will craft their own basswood lovespoons using coping saws and carving knives (sloyd and hook knives), under the guidance of instructor Mariah Day. Artistic freedom is encouraged, with templates available to inspire designs.

Wear fitted clothing and closed toe shoes.
