A beloved modern classic, Steel Magnolias is set in a small Louisiana town, where a tight-knit group of women find solace, laughter, and strength in a local beauty salon. Over the years, they navigate love, family struggles, personal transformations, and health challenges, all while leaning on their unbreakable friendship. Through humor and heartache, their bond proves to be a source of resilience, reminding them—and the audience—of the power of love and support in life's most difficult moments.
We are seeking a vibrant, heartfelt cast for our production of Steel Magnolias. While the story is beloved by many, this production is not a recreation of the film. We are looking for actors who can bring authenticity, humor, and emotional depth to these iconic roles, honoring the spirit of the play while making the characters their own.
All roles are open to actors of all ethnicities, backgrounds, and lived experiences. Ages listed are approximate, and we welcome performers who connect with the essence of the characters, regardless of their exact age. Come as you are—we’re excited to see what you bring to the salon chair.
