Learn Visible Mending with Sarah Collen

Let's show our textiles some love! If you have wanted to mend your own garments or knits instead of tossing them, this workshop is for you.

Participants will learn visible mending techniques on scraps of fabric and then mend a piece of clothing they bring in.

Sarah Collen from The Troy Sew Shop will lead a discussion about why mending is essential to the sustainability movement and how taking the time to mend can have a big impact on your wardrobe and the environment.

• No sewing experience necessary.
• Ages 10 and up.
• Please bring something you wish to mend with you to the workshop.
• All materials will be provided.
