About

Green Kill Sessions presents Buzzer on Sunday, May 17, 8 PM, featuring John Fay on bass, Amit Shamir on percussion, and Peter Head on guitar.

Livestreams are freely available on the YouTube Green Kill Sessions channel and on greenkill.substack.com. Please consider making a five dollar donation. For access to full livestream videos for each event, subscribe monthly or annually to Green Kill Substack.

In-person tickets: Green Kill’s live events are intimate livestream productions with space for up to 30 guests. Once capacity is reached, the doors will be closed—so arrive early to be sure you get a seat. Tickets are $10, payable in cash at the door; just drop your payment in the ticket jar when you arrive. Please plan to arrive about 10 minutes before showtime so we can get everyone settled before the event begins.

Support Green Kill: Green Kill is 100 percent volunteer run. The money generated through subscriptions, donations and ticket sales pays performers, the sound engineer, and operation costs of the facility. Donate using Venmo. Donate using Paypal. A single donation of five dollars from all subscribers helps immensely to insure Green Kill will be able to continue supporting artists.

Buzzer: Buzzer is the third iteration of a project started 15 years ago by Peter Head, red-hot guitarist of legendary Hudson Valley "apocabilly" band Pitchfork Militia, to explore and experiment with prog- and fusion-influenced improvisational rock in partnership with iconoclastic bassist John Fay. They have recorded hundreds of hours of music together under other band names (Firebug, Elephant Graveyard) and with other drummers from John Fay’s former bands. In 2018 they were joined by in-demand percussionist Amit Shamir (Cro-Mags, Ted Orr projects, The Classics) and continue to create intense off-the-cuff jams that often feel like complex compositions but are simply the manifestation of three seasoned artists speaking their unique language and sharing their life experiences in the moment.

Green Kill Sessions program: Musicians and performers can shine on stage—and online—through Green Kill’s one-hour livestream shows. Performances happen Friday through Sunday evenings (except the first and third Fridays). Each event features a small in-person audience (30 seats) and global livestream access. Performers are expected to help promote their shows, arrive early for sound checks, and send in equipment lists ahead of time. The venue provides a full sound and lighting setup, including drums, amps, a digital piano, and livestream equipment. Earnings from ticket sales are split among performers, the venue, and the sound engineer—so promotion and turnout matter. Green Kill shares event highlights on YouTube and Substack, giving performers lasting, professional-quality footage to use for promotion.
