Join S&PAA, NAMI Syracuse, NAMI NYS, and Schizophrenic.NYC for a special screening of Good Side of Bad and a filmmaker Q&A.

Presented by the Schizophrenia & Psychosis Action Alliance (S&PAA), the screening brings together filmmakers, mental health advocates, and community members for an evening of reflection and connection.

Good Side of Bad follows Florence, a young photographer whose severe mental health breakdown brings her adult siblings together to support her through treatment and recovery. Based on the bestselling novel The Good Side of Bad, this family drama explores difficult experiences and the love, laughter, and light found when reconnecting with those closest to you.

Event schedule:
- 6:30 PM — Doors open. Arrive early to meet the filmmakers and panelists. Mental health merchandise from NAMI NYS and Schizophrenic.NYC will be available to browse and purchase.
- 7:00–8:40 PM — Screening of Good Side of Bad.
- 8:45–9:45 PM — Filmmaker Q&A and discussion, hosted by NAMI Syracuse and NAMI NYS. Featured guests: filmmakers Alethea Root and Jules Bruff, peer advocate and Schizophrenic.NYC founder Michelle Hammer, and NAMI NYS Schizophrenia Advisory Committee member Angel Stanley.

All proceeds benefit NAMI Syracuse and NAMI NYS.
