The Shaw Bros. Chuck Norris 35mm Film Festival brings a high-octane celebration of martial arts history to the big screen, fusing legendary Eastern choreography with gritty Western action. The marathon kicks off with two masterclasses in ensemble kung fu from the iconic Shaw Brothers studio: Shogun Assassin and Ten Tigers of Kwangtung. Projected in grainy 35mm, these martial arts epics showcase intricate weapon play, vibrant color palettes, and tales of righteous rebellion. Watching these classics on celluloid highlights the physical choreography and the rich cinematic textures of Hong Kong's golden age.

The energy shifts to American cult cinema with Chuck Norris films. Audiences will see the analog intensity of Missing in Action 2: The Beginning, followed by the ninja-infused conspiracy thriller The Octagon. The 35mm format emphasizes the practical stunts, dark shadows, and gritty atmosphere of these 1980s action staples.

35MM Night Fest — Jaws and The Deep (35mm)
Watching these maritime thrillers on vintage celluloid restores the raw atmosphere of 1970s cinema, where every scratch and color shift adds to the sense of danger at sea. Jaws will be presented with its original, unaltered stereo soundtrack, preserving John Williams' score and the chaotic panic of Amity Island in its native audio format. Paired with Peter Yates' underwater thriller The Deep, this double feature leans into deep-sea dread and retro cinematic texture.

About The Book of Quint
From 1945 to 1968, follow Quint through the sinking of the USS Indianapolis and the events that bring him to Amity Island. A Jaws-universe expansion novel, it provides backstory to enhance the original movie's performances.
