The Capital District Scottish Games take place on September 5, 2026, at the Altamont Fairgrounds, 129 Grand Street, Altamont, NY 12009.
The event features:
- Pipe band events and stage bands
- Highland athletics
- Highland dancing
- Children's events
- Clans and societies
- Onsite camping
- A charity golf tournament
- Import vendors
Solo contests and highland dance competitions are also available, with separate registrations for each.
Tickets are available now online, and can also be purchased at the gates for $25. Children 12 years of age and younger are admitted free at the gates. Veterans and active military receive a 50% discount on gate admissions by showing their ID card at the gate. Parking is free.
The host of the Scottish Games is the Schenectady Pipe Band.
