About The Lodger: A Story Of The London Fog with live score by NYC’s Morricone Youth
THE EGG presents, as part of its October Open House, a special one-afternoon screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s silent film "The Lodger: A Story Of The London Fog" starring Ivor Novello with live score by NYC’s Morricone Youth.
The Lodger is considered the “first true Hitchcock film” and is, obviously, a thrilling way to kick start your Halloween season.
Morricone Youth is a collective of New York City musicians founded in 1999, reinterpreting 100+ film and television works all over the world, from CBGB’s and the top of the World Trade Center to the Brooklyn Academy of Music, MassMoCA, Philadelphia Museum of Art and The Sydney Festival, as well as supporting Italian prog soundtrack legends Goblin on their 2017 North American tour. Years in the making, The Lodger: A Story Of The London Fog score was first performed live to a sold out audience at the Brooklyn Academy of Music on Halloween 2013, and the reworked live film score had a vinyl release in 2022.
