Strawberry Social and Book Sale @ Soule In-Person

It's once again time for our favorite event of the year! Bring the whole family and help us welcome summer with food, music, and (of course) books.

Event parking is in the library's public parking lot on Springfield Road. Overflow parking is available on surrounding side streets and Lot C at Le Moyne College (there is no street parking on Springfield Road).

• 5:30 pm: We will start serving vanilla ice cream, strawberry compote, and fruit popsicles (non-dairy option).
• Pick up a raffle ticket on your way in for a chance to win a strawberry-themed prize basket (1 ticket per person).
• 6:00 pm: Live musical performance by The Jess Novak Band. Chairs will be provided, but you may bring your own lawn chairs and blankets to kick back and relax on the lawn.
• Decorate the sidewalks around our lawn with sidewalk chalk while you groove.
• Used book sale taking over half of the library — please bring cash and a reusable bag if you plan to shop.
• Button-making station in the library: make a strawberry-, dinosaur-, or book-themed button to take home as a memento.
• Register for our summer reading program: fun activities and challenges for readers of all ages.

About the Band: The Jess Novak Band is a pop, rock, soul group out of Syracuse, NY that mixes choice covers with soulful originals to engage any crowd. Having performed from Key West to California, Novak (electric violin, guitar, piano, vocals) leads with charisma and her band -- Anthony Saturno (guitar), Jay Fabbri (bass) and Gavin George (drums)* -- is an unstoppable combination of musicianship and power. This award-winning group leaves an impression on every audience they meet.
