About
Join us Thursday, July 23, at 6 pm for an evening of R&B music featuring The E-Block. The performance takes place on the lawn outside the Tang. Bring picnic blankets, camping chairs, and your own food and drink to make it a night!
The E-Block is a 4-piece R&B band originating in upstate New York, blending the acoustic warmth of singer-songwriter music with an ice-cold rhythm section informed by modern R&B. With a deep bag of influences and free-flowing style, The E-Block has earned a reputation as a unique live act in the New York scene and beyond.

About Upbeat on the Roof
Upbeat on the Roof is the Tang Museum’s free, outdoor summer concert series on the grounds of the museum. The series highlights regional musical talent in an array of styles. Concerts take place on the lawn outside the Tang (we outgrew the roof!) every Thursday evening from July 9 through August 20 at 6 pm, and are free and open to the public.
- Bring: picnic blankets, camping chairs, and your own food and drink.
- Crafts on the Grass: Tang Art Educators offer crafts for kids at every concert, starting at 5:30. A different craft will be available each week. All projects are suitable for children aged 5 and up, with adult supervision recommended. Materials will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
