Watercolor Workshop with Diane Swanson: Barns at the Base of French Mountain
November 17, 2026, 10:00 am–11:00 am
We’re excited to welcome Diane Swanson back to the library for a hands-on watercolor workshop! Participants will learn watercolor techniques demonstrated by Diane as they create their own version of her painting Barns at the Base of French Mountain, a tranquil scene of red barns nestled in a green meadow beneath a misty, tree-covered hillside. Artists will explore layering soft washes, building depth with color, and capturing the quiet atmosphere of the landscape. Diane will work individually with each artist, offering personalized guidance on composition, color, and brushwork.
All materials and instruction are provided, though participants are welcome to bring their favorite watercolor brushes. Class size is limited to six, and all skill levels are welcome.
The event is free; donations are not required but are always appreciated. Registration opens November 2. Please call (518) 668-2528 to save your spot!
