The Circle: A Workshop to Reclaim the Embodied Actor
Performers

About
The Circle is a four-hour workshop for actors and artists, bringing together Integrative Breathwork, movement, witnessed performance, and scene work with actors Evan Williams, Dayle McLeod, and others. Everyone performs, everyone witnesses, and deep listening matters as much as being seen. Participants come as they are and leave seen, known, and felt, having lived fully before an audience.
Sample afternoon schedule:
- 2:00–2:40 PM | Integrative Breathwork: A short, state-altering practice I founded that drops you out of your head, into your body, and into deep time, making space for the stories and characters that want to come through you.
- 2:40–2:50 PM | Break
- 2:50–3:50 PM | The Circle: Three rounds of performance witnessed by the group through sound, movement, monologue, and emergent scene work. Everyone performs, everyone witnesses, and deep listening matters as much as being seen. The practice is living truthfully in the moment.
- 3:50–4:10 PM | Break
- 4:10–5:00 PM | Scene Work: Our co-teaching actors guide participants through their scenes. Scenes can be assigned in advance when participants sign up, so they arrive with lines in hand.
- 5:00–5:10 PM | Break
- 5:10–6:00 PM | On Stage: Attendees apply what they gleaned in The Circle by performing their scenes on stage. At times, this portion may be filmed, giving actors footage of their work.
