Learn conga, bell, and stick patterns in Afro-Cuban rhythms with master drummer and percussionist Richard Marquez. The two four-week lesson series cover percussion fundamentals as they relate to Cuban music, exploring the tradition of drum, song, and dance.
Open to all levels and ages. Some drums and hand percussion are provided; bring your own drums if possible.

About the instructor
Richard Marquez of Vibration Arts is a drummer, percussionist, composer, music teacher, and drum therapy coach. Raised in Venice Beach, California, he first picked up a drum at age two and studied with masters of Afro-Cuban tradition and American classical technique. Working professionally since age 15, he has performed with artists including WAR, Paquito De Rivera, the Eric Burdon (The Animals) and Brian Auger (Oblivion Express) Band, Placido Domingo, Sheila E., and Arturo Sandoval.
