Old Time Jam

Come on out for a friendly open old time jam at Tempo! Bring your fiddle, banjo, guitar, or bass and play some old time fiddle tunes.

Hosted and run by local luthier and fiddler Adam Kology, we will be playing a mix of old and new tunes in the old time string band tradition, focused mainly on Appalachia but with influences spanning much farther. This jam is run with a rotating "core" of experienced musicians. There will be open chairs for visiting and local players to both play and learn.

We pride ourselves on inclusion and learning — all players regardless of skill level are welcome. There will be storytelling, bad jokes, discussions of jam etiquette, and a jovial atmosphere centered on the love of social music.

We run concurrently with Nicole Ball's Flatfooting class, so there will be dancers to play with as well!
