Sally Baby’s Silver Dollars have emerged as one of New Orleans’ most exciting new bands, seamlessly blending the sounds of early Creole Jazz Bands with New Orleans R&B, Second Line, Calypso, and their ethereal, mystical, magical original music.
In 2024 they were 2nd runners up in NPR’s Tiny Desk competition. Their unique sound has caught the attention of major festivals including:

- Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival (Upstate NY)
Founded by singer-guitarist, composer, music historian, and New Orleans jazz tour guide Salvatore Geloso (Sally Baby), the ensemble recently released their debut self-titled EP to glowing reviews. Sal’s songs are at the center of Sally Baby’s Silver Dollars’ music, with his original compositions taking center stage. All of the ensemble’s musicians have serious chops — including Sal, who studied not only New Orleans’ music, but opera and choral works like Mozart’s Requiem.
