About

Join us for our second Full Moon Salon, featuring For The Wild on the Slow Earth Companion book tour, with contributor and artist brontë velez and artist Krista Dragomer. Stay after for An Evening with Leah Song. Bundle ticket available.

Slow Earth Companion: Rooted Wayfinding in Fragmentary Times is an anthology gathered from more than a decade of listening and long-form conversation through For The Wild. It brings together essays, poetry, prayer, and artwork from voices including Tyson Yunkaporta, Bayo Akomolafe, brontë velez, Patricia Kaishian, Jacqueline Suskin, adrienne maree brown, Antonia Estela Perez, and Jarod K. Anderson, among many others, with original hand-drawn artwork by Krista Dragomer throughout.

Created as a companion to return to over time, the book explores relationship, land, kinship, belonging, and ecological intimacy. This gathering offers space to come together around these themes through conversation, reflection, and shared inquiry, practicing a deeper relationship with the living world and the places we call home.

For The Wild is a slow media studio dedicated to land-based protection, co-liberation, and intersectional storytelling. It is rooted in a paradigm shift away from human supremacy, endless growth, and consumerism. As it dreams toward a world of grounded justice and reciprocity, its work highlights impactful stories and deeply felt meaning-making as balms for these times.

brontë velez (they/elle) is a Black-Boricua transdisciplinary ritual artist, shepherd, minister, and cultural worker. Their ministry is committed to re-ecologizing the roots of pastoral care—as shepherds who paid attention to the earth, followed the wisdom of its rhythms and patterns, and through that devotional awareness received prophetic instructions for liberation.

Krista Dragomer is a New York-based artist working in drawing, sculpture, and collaborative multimedia projects that move between the ecological present and speculative timelines. Her artworks depict bodies that resist easy categories, bodies that don't sort neatly into human and environment, human and nonhuman, living and dying. Her process is both additive and sedimentary: as she fleshes out drawn, cast, layered, and hand-sculpted forms, shapes emerge that feel both anatomical and geological. Dragomer's drawings are published in Slow Earth Companion: Rooted Wayfaring in Fragmentary Times, edited by For The Wild (Set Margins, 2026); Selah: A Báyò Akómoláfé Reader, edited by Eden Pearlstein (Ayin Press, 2026); and Sister Death: Political Theologies for Living and Dying by Beatrice Marovich (Columbia University Press, 2023).

Herbal tea will be available in the Tea House from 2pm–6pm.

Salons are vibrant local gatherings for exploring ideas. Creative and intellectual salons were once stewarded by French salonnières, hostesses who offered safe spaces to debate ideas and incubate new works, often surrounding literature, philosophy, art, and politics outside of state or church control.

Rooted in our local community and carrying the spirit of the original salons, we are co-creating these gatherings to inspire generative connections and tend to a restorative revolution.

Whether you identify as an artist, thinker, ecologist, organizer, healer, farmer, musician, or simply human—all are welcome.
