Dance Workshop

Join us for a dance workshop held in conjunction with Doug Varone and Dancers: STRIPPED, led by company member Ryan Yamauchi.

For dancers with prior experience, this class explores Varone’s signature style, with a focus on line, breath, strength, and musicality. Participants will have an opportunity to learn an excerpt from repertory and gain insight into the company’s creative process.

About Ryan Yamauchi
Ryan Yamauchi, born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai‘i, is a dancer, choreographer, and educator based in New York. A graduate of SUNY Purchase, he has performed with Doug Varone and Dancers for 10 seasons, where he also serves as rehearsal director, and has appeared with companies including Sidra Bell Dance New York and Gibney Dance Company. Ryan is on faculty at SUNY Purchase, Gibney Center, and Peridance Center, and has created work for institutions including The Juilliard School and San José State University.

Registration Fee: $15 (plus $3 fee)
