Raised on a northern New York dairy farm, Eric and Leigh Gibson blend traditional bluegrass with heartfelt songwriting and tight brother harmonies that evoke the Everly Brothers, the Louvins, and the great Americana storytellers. Their live show mixes soul, humor, and jaw-dropping musicianship.

Career highlights:
- 2x IBMA Entertainers of the Year
- IBMA Vocal Group of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and more
- Grammy-nominated musicians with performances at The Grand Ole Opry, MerleFest, Telluride Bluegrass Festival, and the Ryman
- Praised by Rolling Stone, NPR, and The New York Times

"Darkest Hour" (2022) — Produced by Jerry Douglas, this album returned the brothers to their bluegrass roots while blending in soul, gospel, and country tones. The title track and "I Go Driving" received heavy airplay on Americana and bluegrass charts.

"Mockingbird" (2018) — Produced by Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys), this album moved into the Americana space and expanded their reach while maintaining their emotional core.

There’s a reason Ricky Skaggs pulled Eric and Leigh Gibson off the stage at the Ryman two decades ago and offered to produce their debut record. The Gibson Brothers can pick. They can sing. And they can write a damn good country song.

As soon as you hear Leigh singing with Alison Krauss ("I Feel The Same Way As You") on the new project you realize that his voice is as good as anyone in music today. Jerry Douglas wanted to make a record they could actually play on the road; some sessions were done at Sound Emporium’s Studio B. The brothers did their last shows in March of 2020, paused for the pandemic, and finished the record with Jerry in February of 2021.

Musicians on the record include Mike Barber (bass), Justin Moses (mandolin), Eamon McGloughlin (fiddle), Jerry Douglas, John Gardner (drums), Guthrie Trapp (electric guitar), and Todd Parks (bass).

They've worked with producers Ricky Skaggs, Dan Auerbach, David Ferguson, and Jerry Douglas, released albums on labels including Sugar Hill and Rounder, and had songs recorded by Del McCoury. Growing up on a dairy farm and then traveling the world in a bluegrass band has given them a unique vantage point, and the songs on "Darkest Hour" reflect that. They continue to write, sing, and stand on a stage.
