Historical Society: Uncle Sam- The Man and the Legend

"Troy - the Home of Uncle Sam" is probably a phrase that most of us are familiar with, but is it accurate? Join the Greenbush Historical Society for a program by Kathryn Sheehan on "Uncle Sam - the Man and the Legend."

She will present an illustrated lecture about Wilson's life in Troy, how the legend of Uncle Sam developed over the years, and the process of how Troy came to be the official "Home of Uncle Sam."

Kathryn Sheehan is the Renss. Co. Historian, Troy City Historian, and also the Director of the Hart Cluett Museum.
