Capital District Scottish Games

The Capital District Scottish Games is held at Altamont Fairgrounds, 129 Grand Street, Altamont, NY 12009 on September 5, 2026. It is an annual event celebrating Scottish heritage and culture with a rich history stretching back over 70 years.

Attendees can experience a range of Scottish cultural activities and competitions, including:
- Solo Piping & Drumming
- Drum Major events
- Pipe Bands
- Highland Athletics
- Highland Dancing
- Children's Events
- Stage band performances
- Clan and society tents
- Import vendors
- On-site camping

A Charity Golf Tournament is also part of the festivities.

Tickets are available in advance and at the gate for $25. Children 12 years of age and younger get free admission. Veterans and Active Military receive a 50% discount on gate admissions by showing an ID card at the gate; this discount applies only to the veteran or service member, and only on the day of admission. Parking is free.
