There are dances where you move. And then there are dances that move you.

On May 31, Ecstatic Dance Troy transforms into SEED - Soul Expansion Embodiment Dance, a guided, anatomy-informed, life-force awakening journey where music and movement meet conscious facilitation. This is not just a DJ set. This is a co-creation.

Music curated and woven live by Isha. Embodied prompts and somatic guidance offered throughout by Alicia Ascevich.

Instead of dancing alone inside the music, you’ll be gently guided through your body — layer by layer — with invitations to isolate, integrate, spiral, ground, and expand.

What makes this dance different?
- In a traditional ecstatic dance, the DJ holds the arc. In SEED, the arc is alive between: sound, somatic prompts, breath, anatomy awareness, and your own life force.

Throughout the DJ set, Alicia will offer embodied prompts guiding you into:
- Body isolations
- Rhythm-based integration
- Fascia awakening
- Spatial awareness
- Breath-to-movement connection

You won’t just dance freely. You’ll learn how your body moves. You’ll awaken tissues that hold stories. You’ll feel energy channels open through intentional isolation and expansion. It’s ecstatic dance meets anatomy. Instinct meets structure. Freedom meets awareness.

The Warm-Up: Body Isolations & Movement Integration
- Body isolations combined with rhythm teach us how to bring awareness to the body as a whole.
- This practice warms the fascia and connective tissues, awakens what is deeply rooted within, connects breath to free you, grounds you through spatial awareness, and merges your internal and external space.

As you isolate and integrate movement, you begin to feel your own life force, not as an idea, but as sensation. This is healing through presence.

The Cool-Down: Static Stretch & Nervous System Reset
- We will close with a static stretch integration designed to activate muscle receptors that communicate directly with your parasympathetic nervous system.
- This supports deep relaxation, nervous system regulation, emotional settling, cellular healing, and whole-body wellness.

You will leave grounded. Softened. Integrated.

About Alicia Ascevich, LMT/NMT/BCTM
Alicia Ascevich is a nationally board-certified neuromuscular and myofascial massage therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience and 14+ years as a college professor teaching anatomy & physiology. Licensed in New York and Massachusetts, CPR/AED certified, and ABMP insured, Alicia has merged science, therapeutic bodywork, and professional dance into one integrated healing approach.

Before becoming a bodyworker and educator, Alicia was a professional dancer, choreographer, and actress working across the U.S. She trained at the Cantarella School of Dance, danced with Albany Berkshire Ballet, studied Broadway Jazz at Jacob's Pillow with Chet Walker, Toni Stevens, and Loni Ackerman, interned with ballerina Marina Svetlova, and performed with modern, Latin, and African dance companies including Kusika and collaborations with Obo Addy.

Through her practice Synergy Therapeutic Massage & Physiology, she treats injuries and promotes wellness through natural health practices — bringing deep anatomical intelligence into the dance space. With Alicia, movement becomes education. Education becomes embodiment. Embodiment becomes liberation.

About your DJ and space holder
Isha Justyna Kostek is a facilitator of movement, music, and embodied transformation. A certified OSHO Active Meditation facilitator and sound healer trained in India, she blends organic house, Afro rhythms, world beats, and soulful soundscapes into journeys that are playful, grounded, and deeply human. Why SEED?
Because something is planted when you move with awareness. Because the body remembers. Because when rhythm meets anatomy and breath meets music, something begins to grow.

Come to reconnect. Come to awaken what’s rooted. Come to expand. Let’s dance — and grow — together.
