Thu, Oct 15 · 2:00 PM

Location

9 Ten Broeck Place · Albany, NY

About

Join these sequential tours of three of Albany’s historic sites, exploring freedom and opportunity from the 1700s to the 1800s. Learn how immigrants and African Americans shaped ideas about freedom, the lives of enslaved people, and the contributions of free people of color in Albany. Discover the lives of Irish immigrants, reformers and abolitionists, and Albany’s role in the Underground Railroad.

The tours explore the connections between immigration, Black history, and Albany’s development. Visit and compare three museums and historic sites, and learn about the people who helped build Albany and the nation as the United States celebrates its 250th anniversary.
