About

Join Mostly Modern Festival’s FAB5 (String Quartet & Percussion) for a joyful, hands-on musical adventure designed for children and families. Centered around food, farming, and gardening, this lively program invites young participants to listen, explore, and create alongside professional musicians.

Children will discover the sounds of the string family through interactive demonstrations, try out rhythm activities, and engage in playful show-and-tell moments with the instruments themselves.

The experience continues beyond the music with a guided garden visit, connecting what they hear to the world growing all around them.

The program culminates in a whimsical "sound picnic," where produce, herbs, natural elements, and instruments come together in a playful celebration of sound and place. Blending art, nature, food, and performance, this immersive experience invites kids to see, and hear, the farm in a whole new way.
