Words Inspired by Art with Jackie Goodwin

November 14 & 21

$15 / $10 members

Let the exhibits at the Hyde Collection inspire a poem, story, or essay. This workshop is for anyone interested in exploring the connection between visual art and writing, known as ekphrastic writing.

This is a two-session workshop. In the first two-hour session, we’ll examine examples of ekphrastic writing and do some warm-ups before exploring the current exhibits at the Hyde to discover the works that inspire us.

In the next 60-minute session, we’ll share our reactions to the experience as well as our writing.
