About
The library is hosting a favorite poem reading, and you are invited! Join us in the Community Room on November 12 to share a favorite poem. Sign-up starts at 6:30 p.m., and readings start at 7:00 p.m.
By a favorite poem, we mean a poem you love—perhaps one you’ve read numerous times or one that means a lot to you. Following the guidelines established by Robert Pinsky’s Favorite Poem Project, please don’t read an original poem or a poem by a family member. Choose a poem from the great tradition of world poetry, published in an anthology or by an established publisher.
Critically acclaimed poet David Graham will be Master of Ceremonies. Each reader will have about 5 minutes to introduce the poem, explain why it is important to them, and read it.
The number of readers is limited to 15. Sign-up starts at 6:30, so come early! All are welcome to attend and listen.
