Panel Discussion with Authors of New Book Celebrating the Inspiring Women of Hometown USA

Every community has a history of inspirational women, and Glens Falls and the surrounding area is no exception. An upcoming book for middle grade readers, authored by 32 community members, celebrates local women and the impact their lives have made in the community and beyond.

Inspiring Women of Hometown USA features 76 stories of groundbreaking women with ties to the Glens Falls, New York, region. The stories recount their achievements and the adversities they overcame, showing how their experiences in “Hometown USA” shaped their lives and inspiring new generations.

Project organizers Elizabeth Little Hogan and Diana Palmer will lead a panel discussion with illustrator Rhianna Hogan-Cerro and editor Rhonda Triller about how 32 community members came together to write the stories. Contributing authors and some of the featured women will be present. A Q&A will follow.

This event is co-sponsored by the Adirondack Chapter of the American Association of University Women and Crandall Public Library.
