Playing the great rock songs of the 60’s through today by bands such as Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Heart, Journey, Boston, Weezer, Oasis and much more.
The Strand House Band began in 2012 as The Hudson River Music Hall House Band with Jonathan Newell — guitar/piano/vocals; Marc Vincent — guitar/vocals; Alan Dunham — vocals/percussion; and soon added Michael Craner on bass.
The 2026 Summer Slam invites guest musicians The Newells including Jennifer, Brand and Evan; Brian Melick and Mike Mumblo on percussion and drums; Paul Jarvis on saxophone; and more guests TBA.
The band has continued to create shows with the music of David Bowie, U2, George Harrison, John Mellencamp & Bryan Adams, the songs of James Bond films, The Rolling Stones and much more.
