Introduction to Nature Journaling

Fri, Apr 10 · 10:00 AMto12:00 PM

Location

251 Glen Street · Glens Falls, NY

About

Nature journaling is the practice of observing and recording the natural world using a combination of words, drawings, and numbers—or what we call "The Three Languages" of nature journaling. You do not need to be an artist or a naturalist to begin. Simply bring your curiosity and interest in nature.

In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of nature journaling. We will start with how to use words, pictures, and numbers to document nature. Then we will incorporate a three-step approach called "I Notice, I Wonder, and It Reminds Me Of" that can be applied to any natural phenomenon. Through engaging, hands-on activities, you'll discover how to apply this approach, enriching your journaling experience and deepening your connection to the world around you.

This session will take place in The Glens Falls City Park (next to the library).

This program is for adults and older teens with all levels of expertise. Supplies will be provided. Registration is required.
