Conversations with the Past: “Halfway Brook Powering Progress”

Join us to learn the story of a waterway that played two different roles in the development of Glens Falls. From powering machinery at the Glens Falls Plug Works to becoming the source for the Halfway Brook Dam and Reservoir, the brook’s influence extended far beyond its banks. Its story reveals how a modest stream contributed first to the community’s industrial growth and later to its need for a dependable municipal water supply.
