Learn how attitudes toward children evolved through the last half of the eighteenth century and how women’s roles changed.
Anne Clothier has been fascinated by the eighteenth-century era and local history since childhood. After earning a BA in history and an MA in Museum Studies, she worked in local museums and demonstrated and interpreted at regional historic sites. Her particular interests include women’s history, textiles, and medical history. She is located in Saratoga County, New York.
Revolutionary Lives is a free event series produced by the Folklife Center at Crandall Public Library to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Battles of Saratoga. The series includes these events, an exhibition, and an online StoryMap. It is made possible by grant funding from the Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership, with additional support from the New York State Council on the Arts, supported by the Governor’s Office and the New York State Legislature.
