About

Public Historian and Librarian Tisha Dolton discusses local and national commemorative quilt projects from the Centennial to the Bicentennial and into the present day, with the hopes of inspiring new community quilt projects for the upcoming America250 celebrations.

Part of our annual Women's History Month programming.

This lecture also complements the current exhibition, curated by Tisha, How We Commemorate: Celebrations, Pageants, Exhibitions & More, on display in the Folklife Hall Gallery and in the 2nd floor Literature Room through July 31, 2026.

Major funding support to the Folklife Center at Crandall Public Library comes from the New York State Council on the Arts.
