RoC (Roots of Creation) presents Grateful Dub: a Reggae-infused tribute to Jerry Garcia & The Grateful Dead. Combining their longtime love for Reggae-Dub and the Grateful Dead, RoC reworked some of the world’s favorite Dead tunes into a new studio album. RoC worked in the studio with five-time Grammy winner Errol Brown, who was Bob Marley’s sound engineer, for this project. Grateful Dub is also performed live in its entirety at festivals, theatres, and clubs, and features rotating live special guests that have included Melvin Seals (Jerry Garcia Band), Scott Guberman (Phil Lesh), Zach Nugent, RyMo, AG, Paul W. (Slightly Stoopid), G. Love (G. Love & Special Sauce), Mihali (Twiddle), Dan Kelly (Fortunate Youth) and others. Grateful Dub captures the spirit of the Grateful Dead, laid down Reggae-Dub style.
Roots of Creation will also open the show with an original set of music.
Roots of Creation
Billboard and radio chart-topping, award-winning, international reggae-rock Roots of Creation are a touring powerhouse. Whether on the festival circuit or sharing stages with artists like Slightly Stoopid, The Wailers, and Michael Franti, Roots of Creation (RoC) offers a high-energy live music experience with reggae riddims, conscious lyrics, spirited horn lines, and electronic beats.
Their most recent release, Livin Free, debuted No. 1 on both the Billboard Reggae and the Relix/Jambands.com Radio charts. The album also includes guest production by Yeti Beats (Rebelution, Slightly Stoopid).
