Socks In the Frying Pan – 12/9

Socks in the Frying Pan, a multi-award-winning trio from Ennis, County Clare, Ireland—the mecca of Irish traditional music—was formed in 2014. Forged together by a fire of pure joy and passion for their art, the band comprises Shane Hayes on accordion, Calum Bell on fiddle, and David McKindley-Ward on guitar.

Their ‘Socks Sound’ combines virtuosic musicianship with a burning passion for the music and tradition, pitch-perfect harmonies, and a big splash of quick wit and banter. Their electrifying performances and on-stage charm have established them as the kingpins on the Irish Traditional Music scene today.

They have toured extensively, performing in 48 US states, dozens of countries, and every continent, and have showcased at festivals such as the Walnut Valley Festival (Kansas), Electric Picnic (Ireland), Tønder Festival (Denmark), and the New Orleans Jazz Festival.

To date they have released four studio albums and earned accolades including ‘Best New Band’, ‘Best Live Band’, ‘Album of the Year’, and ‘Best Live Performance of the Year’. Their latest release, Waiting for Inspiration, was submitted for a Grammy award and featured in LadBible’s Top 25 To Add to your Playlist.

Ticket info:
- The 443 is an intimate listening room with table service that seats 75 people.
- The green squares/circles on the floor plan are bar-height tables, and the orange squares are regular-height tables.
- Most seats are sold as “Tables for Two” — the ticket admits TWO people.
- A limited number of single seats are available; single attendees may be sharing a table with other single attendees.
- Multiple tickets purchased under the same name will automatically be seated together (up to 6 people).
- Requesting a specific table is a perk reserved for our VIP Patron members. If you’re interested in supporting our mission, you can find membership information.
