About
Are you looking for new ideas and designs for your knitting or crochet project? Stumped by a difficult pattern or technique? Or perhaps you're just a brand-new "yarnie" who wants to learn? The experienced folks in the Capital District Knitting Guild are here to help.
The group, which started in a yarn shop that has since gone out of business, meets at the Library every second Monday of the month from 6-8 pm. Guild members have experience working in yarn shops and teaching classes, so they have a passion for the craft. There is always someone who can lend a hand with a tough pattern or who is willing to demonstrate beginning technique.
The group also offers a different teaching topic at meetings, such as:
- learning how to knit Brioche (a ribbed technique with yarn, not bread!)
- demonstrating entrelac (the art of the textured diamond pattern)
Stop in and get "hooked" on knitting or crochet!
