In collaboration with Unicorn Bar, WeaverMedia presents DANCEHALL ASYLUM!
This event is intended to honor the joy, pain and resilience of black women and black femmes in the face of black femicide and systemic racism, as we invite you to vibrate in the rebellious, joyous, communal, matriarchal ancestral energy that flows within DANCEHALL music.
With sounds by Miss Education, Soular Sounds and Tommmydidit, all are invited to hold space for these marginalized groups with love, respect and intentional care.
We present a night of great vibes immortalized with all night photo-ops by high3nergyhuman. We encourage you to come in your "Sunday best", in true dancehall style, as a statement of honoring our collective joy and the spirit of creativity that is vital to the community we hope to build, in spite of entities with earthly power working to reaffirm seeds of hopelessness and despair. We will not accept the future given to us by fear, but only the one we choose to create in intentional love.
