Margo Ross grew up in a tiny town in the midwest, and for her 19th birthday received a banjo from her sister. Drawing inspiration from the vast fields of Iowa, she taught herself how to sing and play, and toured occasionally with other local bands in her small but bustling hometown art scene. She spent the fall of 2018 in a cabin in upstate New York recording and co-producing her first album ‘Prairie Life’ with producer Ian Hersey (Rubblebucket, Lip Talk). Her sound is inspired by vast spaces and vast emotions, drawing upon influences from the worlds of art-folk, americana, and indie pop.
