What lives in a pond? Join us for an exploration and observation of the many creatures that make their home in a pond. Pond sampling materials will be provided. Please wear long pants and appropriate footwear for mud and water. We will meet at the Six Mile Waterworks Trailhead (trailhead #3) at the wooden and metal kiosk.

Directions from Discovery Center to Rensselaer Lake (Six-Mile Waterworks) on Fuller Road (Trailhead 3):
- At traffic light in front of Discovery Center building, turn left onto Route 155.
- Proceed 0.5 miles to the next traffic light. Turn left onto Washington Avenue Extension.
- Proceed on Washington Ave. Extension for 2.3 miles to the Fuller Road exit. Take the ramp.
- At the traffic circle, take the 3rd exit onto Fuller Road.
- Travel approximately 0.1 miles to a second traffic circle. Rensselaer Lake Preserve and Park Entrance (Six-Mile Park) is the 3rd exit off the traffic circle.
