About

Altered Altoid Tin: Bird Nest Box

Transform an ordinary Altoid tin into a charming miniature bird nest box! In this mixed-media class, you’ll explore the art of decoupage, collage, and assemblage as you give a humble metal tin a completely new life.

Inside the tin, you’ll create a tiny, three-dimensional bird nest using a variety of natural and decorative materials to build texture, dimension, and character. On the outside, you’ll design a whimsical bird-inspired collage, layering images, papers, and embellishments to create your own unique little bird box.

No two pieces will be alike! This is a playful project that encourages creativity, experimentation, and a love of birds and found materials. Come ready to cut, layer, glue, nest, and create a tiny world of your own.

Classes at Thrifty Connections are intended for adults and suitable for individuals 16+.

Ticket Policy

All ticket sales are final. As a small business, we operate with limited class capacity. Classes require advance planning, preparation time, and the gathering of materials and supplies. Because of our limited capacity, we are typically unable to refill seats or recover the costs associated with cancellations. For these reasons, all class ticket purchases are final and non-refundable.

Note: Due to working with donated and reclaimed materials, class projects may vary slightly from examples shown in our monthly calendar. We embrace these variations as part of the magic and uniqueness of every session.
