Full Moon Hike at the Kings Highway Barrens

Enjoy the Pine Bush at night with a hike in the light of the full moon. We’ll walk approximately 1.3 miles over rolling sand dunes without the aid of artificial light and will stop intermittently to enjoy the preserve at night.

We will meet at the Kings Highway Barrens trailhead (#9).

Directions from the Discovery Center to Kings Highway Barrens (Trailhead 9): At the traffic light in front of the Discovery Center, continue straight through the intersection onto Old State Road. Follow Old State Road 0.6 miles to the three-way stop. Turn right onto Kings Road and continue 1.3 miles. The trailhead will be on your right. Look for the pull-off area, split-rail fencing, and brown kiosk.
