Join us for a bird outing that aims to be accessible and inclusive. Start your day observing birds at a stationary location in the Albany Pine Bush with Preserve Naturalist Pammi Price and other community members. We’ll experience the wonder of birds at the Albany Pine Bush, from learning to use binoculars to identifying birds by sight and sound!

We’ll meet at the entrance to the Discovery Center and get to know one another before taking a short stroll (approximately 0.13 miles) to the Council Ring, where we’ll stop to look and listen for birds. A half-round seating area is available during the event.
Trail details: The Discovery Trail and Council Ring have a Flexi-pave surface, a minimum trail width of 38 inches, and an approximately two to three percent slope. The sidewalk is concrete, and the parking lot is asphalt.
Please dress for the weather, wear sturdy boots, and bring drinking water. Thank you.

From I-87, take exit 2W (Rt 5 West, Central Avenue). Follow Rt 5 for about 2 miles, then turn left onto Rt 155 (New Karner Rd). Continue on Rt 155 for about 1.2 miles. The Discovery Center is on the left at 195 New Karner Road.
