Film expert and former Menands Public Library Director Lenny Zapala is offering the first of a five-installment series with the movie The Postman Always Rings Twice. Drifter Frank Chambers (John Garfield) meets Cora Smith (Lana Turner) in a diner/gas station owned by her much older but charming husband (Cecile Kallaway). Between Frank and Cora it is lust at first sight. They plot to kill the husband. The movie is directed by Tay Garnet. Don't forget Lenny's introduction and comments after the films!
