Ever wondered what goes into designing costumes for the stage? Discover the secrets behind the magic with one of the Capital Region’s top costume designers, Connie Rauhauser. In this workshop, Connie will guide you through the costume design process from start to finish.
Workshop highlights:
- Design basics: color theory, fabric choices, and design principles.
- Costume sourcing: how and where to find the perfect costumes and materials, whether borrowing or creating from scratch.
- Fittings: hands-on experience measuring actors for precise fittings.
- Behind-the-Scenes Tour: explore the SLOC costume shop and see where the magic happens.
What you need to know:
- Materials provided: all necessary materials will be supplied; bringing a notebook and pencil for notetaking is encouraged.
- Limited spots: class size is capped at 30 participants.
- Ages: recommended for adults and students age 16 and older.
