About

This hands-on workshop is designed to teach participants how to make three different types of pastry. Using 17th and 18th century techniques and traditional recipes, the group will make both savory and sweet treats, including cheese tart and pork pie. Participants will also be invited to take another of their creations home to share.

The workshop will take place in Crailo’s hearth kitchen and will be led by Erin Czernecki, a local historian with 13 years of research, training and hearth cooking experience. She has attended numerous workshops in hearth cooking at Genesee Country Village & Museum and Historic Deerfield and has done historic food demonstrations at historic sites and conferences.

  • Fee: $45 per person, payable by cash or check.
