The Furious Bongos

Frank Zappa’s music is no place to fake it. The Furious Bongos bring their gloriously twisted take on his catalog to Cohoes Music Hall on Friday, April 23.

These formidable players have résumés that include B. B. King, Mick Fleetwood, James Taylor, Yo-Yo Ma, and more, and the chops to tackle Zappa’s notoriously demanding music. But don’t expect a note-for-note trip down Nostalgia Lane — like Frank himself would have done, they keep it unpredictable, playful, and appropriately weird, all while paying respect to his legacy.

Serious musicians. Unserious behavior. Entirely the point.

Tickets go on sale to members Wednesday, November 4 at 10 AM and to the general public Friday, November 6 at 10 AM.
